Orla O’Loughlin joined in 2006, moving from the Royal Court Theatre where she was the International Associate.
Her previous directing work includes: Kebab (Dublin International Festival / Royal Court Theatre) How Much is your Iron? (Young Vic), The Hound of the Baskervilles (West Yorkshire Playhouse/ National Tour/ West End), A Dulditch Angel (The Gatehouse/ National Tour), Vienna Dreaming, Sam and Lucy, Let your Heart Break Open, Maps, The Mum Project ( National Theatre Studio), The Fire Raisers, sob stories, Refrain, Go the way your Blood Beats, Norman (BAC) , Redemption ( New Dramatists, NYC), The Duchess of Suffolk (Globe Theatre, Read not Dead Season), Carousel, Crazy for You (Beck Theatre).
Orla was winner of the James Menzies Kitchin Directors Award and recipient of the Carlton Bursary at the Donmar Warehouse. |
Development Director |
John Moreton joined the company in 1994, moving from Horse and Bamboo Theatre where he was Administrative Director. He has steered the company through many changes and has been involved in producing every project, including Shot Through the Heart at Ludlow Castle, Precious Bane and most recently White Open Spaces. |

He has recently completed an adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s The Unconsoled. |

Kate Budgen. Directing credits include: Stoopud Fucken Animals (Traverse Drill Hall), Mud (Gate Theatre), When In Rome (People’s Studio Theatre), Star Quality (University of Newcastle Upon Tyne), Sunday is the New Saturday (Edinburgh Festival Fringe), Dido and Aeneas (Newcastle Early Music Festival).
Kate also works for the Almeida as a freelance workshop leader, and runs GateInk, a young people’s playwriting group at the Gate Theatre in Notting Hill. |
